There were a couple of minor fitment issues with that prototype that needed to be resolved but the essential layout is established and the basic appearance remains the same. Getting the same exact header to fit both a 912 and a 356 without compromising performance is a bit of a challenge.
The video was taken with a digital still camera so the sound isn't high quality. It was quite pleasant sounding up close and personal, and with the right side outlet blocked off it was rather quiet even.
BTW, the smoke coming out the tailpipe was the tube bending mandrel grease burning off from inside the pipes. The engine in the 912 is a fresh H. Pellow Special assembled just a few years ago.
