Is there more than one forging of a 356 Connecting Rod?

A shop of a buddy that mainly works on VW's is helping one of his friends build a 356 engine. For whatever reason, one of the connecting rods was not usable. When the owner tried to locate a replacement, he was able to find a single rod, but it was 35 grams lighter than the other three he allready had. Did Porsche have multiple forgings that were used in the 356 engines, one that may be heavier, one that may be lighter, or did they just happen upon a really light rod? Thanks!

without looking at it with the book in hand it would be hard to tell.
if you put the four of them together what are the small differences between them?

Ahhhh....... That helps explain some things! I don't have the rods in front of me, but I'll see what I can find out, and maybe post some pics. Thanks!
