Need help identifying bumpers
I just found these bumpers and it looks like a complete set on the black ones and only the rear on the pink one.
![]() I'm not sure if the black ones are Porsche although they do look like pre-A bumpers with the aluminum strip. I have doubts because of the shape of the over riders and license plate lights. The pink one definitely looks like pre-A and has the larger license lights. Does anyone care to venture a guess on what these may be? Thanks in advance. Rob |

NOT 356 bumpers, from any year. They look familiar though. Mercedes maybe?

They sort of look like these pre-A bumpers, no?

No, I don't think your bumpers are early 356 body-mounted bumpers. The ends are too short to wrap all the way around to the wheel openings, particularly on the rear. It doesn't look like there is enough "meat" on the top surface for the body-mounting. And 356 body-mount bumpers would not have the license plate lamps in the bumpers, instead using a centrally mounted shine-down lamp console on the tail below the rear deck lid. I'm sure I have seen your bumpers before, but I just cant remember on what.

I think I figured it out. A 1950's Borgward Goliath was the likely donor for these bumpers:
