Sorry it took me so long to reply. I sent you a PM this morning. Here is a quick shot of it back together. It sure feels better after the rebuild.

The engine looks great. After seeing your post I wish I would have re-sprayed mine when I had the engine out last May. Nice job and nicely detailed. Did you do a complete rebuild or just the top end? How many miles?

The paint code plaque should be on the drivers side front door jamb. Thanks!

Thanks John,

I was really happy about how it came out. It is not a concours car, actually it spends most of its time on the track for now, but I wanted it to look nice after the rebuild. My mechanics were actually teasing me a bit about how clean my track car was… ha ha ha

I got it all back together last Friday and drove around for a little bit and then it decided to snow for a week so I only have about 35 miles on it since the rebuild. As far as a top end or full rebuild, we did a top end on this one because it was in really good shape and we had bent the valves during a missed shift. Ouch!!!!

We did put in 964 cams and I feel that they made a good difference so far.

I am building another car so this one will only be on the track for maybe 5 or 6 more events and then I will take all of the race stuff out and transfer it to the other car and then put this one back for daily street use only.
