Pics of roof interior without headliner

I’m a bit hesitant about removing the headliner in my 1980 SC lightweight build. Will it look untidy without headliner? Do you have any picture of how the roof looks from the interior without a headliner?

Are you going to have door cards, etc? Headliner doesn’t weigh anything.

It looks a hot mess. You have a sunroof? If you do then leave the headliner. I've seen a couple tidy non headliner builds with some perlon glued up there. Looks pretty decent, but there's a lot of cleanup and paint.

I don't have a pic of mine when I replaced the headliner but it was just the underside of the sheet metal with what looked like some primer overspray on it. The whole thing only weighs maybe less than two pounds at the most, so I wouldn't bother removing it especially if you're worried about looks.

here are some photo references of my spec build of the lid while cutting the sunroof false roof structure out and plugging with a fiberglass insert. the plunge!

if magnus did it I reckon it'd become all the rage....
