A lesson learned
It’s never easy to admit you screwed up, but I did tonight. I was removing my WUR to send to Tony for a rebuild. I was not really into working on the 911 tonight as it was late and a very long day at work, but I wanted to get it into the mail tomorrow. So instead of moving the car into the shop where there was lighting I worked on it in the driveway. Tired and in a hurry I didn’t notice the nut had a locking nut on it, I just saw the upper nut. ( very evident under good lighting) and I started to loosen the fuel line and it twisted with the nut and cracked the fuel line. I felt so stupid. In a hurry and rushing. Now I have to figure out how to fix the line. I just walked away disgusted - it will be there tomorrow. I learned a lesson tonight- how big a job was is it to repair or replace this fuel line. Dave

Tony's got the world's biggest collection of CIS fuel lines. I'm sure he'll sell you one for a few bucks.

Don’t feel too bad, we have all been there in one way or another. You just have the courage to admit it. And yes as mentioned, there is a long thread on screw-ups. Some are quite funny.

Are you talking about the metal CIS fuel lines from the fuel distributor? They aren't hard to replace. If you broke the one with the rubber end that goes from the center of the FD to the WUR they are a little trickier to source but BoxsterGT can repair/make you one.
