I have some pictures I can send you. Do you have any particular model or file size in mind? Also, do you have, or have you seen the Porsche "Morphing" screensaver? If not, I can email you that too. Just let me know.

Try typing "Porsche Screensaver" on your favorite search engine. I can't remember where I got mine (maybe at the pca.org site)but it is the best. It shows the transition from the early 911 through the changes up to the 993 model...it morphs the models. very cool.

What I did was go to the Porsche home page and save a copy of the Porsche logo. Crop the extra background off, and save it as a Bitmap.
Then go to the 3D flying object screensaver, and go to "settings", Select "3D textured flag" and then pick the logo as the texture. You end up with a white flag with the Porsche shield blowing in the wind in front of a blackground. Pretty cool. Tom ------------------ 82 911SC Coupe |

You can download the morphing screen saver off of Porsche's website. Click on Porsche Unlimited then on For your desktop. The link is right there.

jlr69s, I have a bunch or early 911 & R-Gruppe pictures. Give me an email if that is what you are thinking about ('69s' suggests to me that you are an early 911 fan), and I'll send them to you.

Check out www.webshots.com under the category "wheels" then " sports cars" for a variety of cars including a "600hp 911".

Pretty cool morphing screenshot. Not sure why planter has screen burn-in. The newer monitors really don't need the traditional "screensavers" since you cannot burn them. Only the older monitors and especially the phosphorus green and ambers exhibited burn in.

Thanks to you all for the direction to the morphing Porsche screen saver! Looks great on my work laptop. Also, I finally figured out how to put the flashing "save the flash" 911 on my desktop. I have no idea how I did it, though.
Regarding porsche.com...how many car companies have a page dedicated to the sounds of just a few of their great cars? Only complaint is that they're too short and only cover a few marques. -------- Bob Sauerteig '87 Carrera Coupe |
