Ended up doing some rehab on the front left brake setup I did a few months back.

Front Left

Decided I am going to replace the front struts with new stock units. Driver side is ok, but just ok (weak). I don't see any need to upgrade at this point. The Bridgestone's I bought grip like crazy and have the stiffest side wall of any tire (other than some run flats) I have every owned. I'm afraid if I go to strut that is more firm i'll hate the ride quality. It will also be the perfect time to install the turbo tie rod kit I have.

Received my custom tach face and got it installed.

I sanded the tach bezel to remove some of the paint. I left the paint in the recessed areas and then polished the aluminum. This picture really doesn't do it justice. It looks like a piece of jewelry.

So i am either kneeling or bending over in my engine compartment for about 3 hours yesterday. My wife makes a rare comment about the length of time. I explain what I am doing and how much my back aches. Why didn't you put it on the lift? Well I would have to move cars around and it's a week night........ I think owning a classic 911 builds character... or reveals it.

Indeed.

I lost a dear friend and loyal companion this morning. You were always by my side and the time we had working on cars and riding in them will always be cherished. God speed Boss....
13 years seems like it went by in a heartbeat.

Godspeed to your dear departed friend. I am sure you gave him a good home and he was happy for those 13 years. [emoji3522]

pkabush thank you.
If you asking about the mesh I have in the front oil cooler opening........

It is a just a piece of flattened, aluminum expand metal I had laying around.
I got a sheet from McNICHOLS a while back and have been using it on various projects.

I feel like he did....he sure went a lot of places and saw a lot of things. There is something about a loyal dog. Smart, patient and interested in what I was always doing.

Where did you get the trunk mat with the diamond pattern stitching? Love it.

I think the contest should have a special class for white 911 builds--seems like there are a bunch of us--you, Duane, et cetera, and a bunch of others. This place is a festival of ideas for 30+ year old cars.
