1975 911S 2.7L compression questions

I’m looking to buy a 2.7L 911S engine out of a 1975 model. The compression is between 132-140-148-140. Currently running good with WEBER 40mm with 36mm Ventura’s, tuned for the 2.7 engine. I would be purchasing this engine to put in my 914. How do you feel about this engine vs 2.4 or 3.0 or 3.2. I can pick it up for about $4,000.00.

That seems like a great price for a running 2.7l with Weber’s. What is the exhaust?

Unfortunately he’s keeping the European headers and cookie cutters. I would be getting the stock factory exhaust.

The Webers are worth half the asking price, maybe all of it. Nice deal. Go buy some nice headers to celebrate. you don't want the stock heat exchangers on there in my opinion.

Thanks for your advice, I agree it’s going to have to have a nice set of headers down the road! Have a great week.
