Will pre 964 none power sport seats bolt into a 964

Hello all quick question....trying to shed some weight but still keep factory sport seats and was wondering if pre 964 seats will just bolt in.

Thanks

They would have to be '84 (I think this is the change year) and earlier as the later 3.2 sport seats are the same as the ones found in the 964.

I have available to look at a 84 turbo with sport seats and it uses the 85 and later seat base welded in the chassis.

Yes, the bases are the same. I was referring to the style of the seat; the earlier ones are not powered and lighter, while the late Carrera sport seats are the heavier electrically powered units and exactly the same as those available on the 964 except for the upholstery pattern.

You don't necessarily need to source sliders. Pretty much most, if not all, Porsche seats you will buy used have the base frames still attached to them. The sliders are typically kept with the seat base frame.
