Ac relay - solved
Hi, i just finished spending 4 hours trying to bring to life the AC in my 84 3.2.
I had it disconnected several years while doing some restoring. Put the condenser belt back, noticed clutch did not work, nor evaporator fan, etc, etc. Went through the Bentley plus this forum and could not find the problem. Checked fuse 2 (ok), but no voltaje through 85-86 at AC condenser blower relay in the fuse box. According to the Diagram, an AC relay is shown but it is missing as it is not shown on Bentley's book on the relay list. :-(. So finally realised that by AC relay, they mean AC evaporator relay in the following pages. Of course this was the faulty device and now it works. In this forum, some guys said about the relay in the smuggler's box, but had no idea what that "smuggler box" was...now I got the joke :-). Hope there are no more names changed in my future projects :-). P.S.: there is also another change in my fuse box compared to Bently's (see picture with Footwell blower motors relay), but not sure if somebody made that change before I bought the car (2007 acquired by me). It looks more like 85+ configuration. Cheers My setting in the fuse box: |
