Question Swapmeet at Tweeksfest this year?

Does anyone know if there will be a swapmeet at Tweeksfest this year? I think they had a small one last year.

If you are looking for a swapmeet, Tweeks might be closer, but Hershey is clearly bigger. A pretty good sized group of us from the Carolinas is going. Might be as close to a Pelican Heads gathering on the east coast as there is this year.

I wanted to go to Hershey this year, but I have to budget my P-car fun trips and gas usage. And at Tweeks EVERYTHING but your hotel room is free. I like free...

For those who have been to Tweeks - is it worth the trip? It falls on my birthday weekend so there's an outside chance I could be going!

I went to Tweeks a couple of years ago. It is worth it. A couple hundred P-cars can't be bad. Lunch is FREE, you get FREE T-shirts. I think if you order anything shipping is FREE. They also clean out the warehouse and sell odds and ends cheap. I got a complete new in the box carpet set for $25!

Damn... I forgot about Tweeks. I won't be able to go this year because i'm moving to NYC for the summer. You give and take I guess. Rarly sure will be missed. Had alot of fun with him and his bro there last year. It's great fun and worth the trip!

Are there many parts left at the swap meet on Sunday? Seems like the better day to get good deals. By the way, I will probably drive the Jeep and not the Porsche just in case I go on a spending spree! What's a good hotel to stay in if I come in Saturday afternoon?

I forget the name of it but the hotel we stayed at was one exit west of the Tweeks exit. It was nice.
I just have stuff to sell. Unless something really catches my eye. I am driving the P-car just in case I think I need to go on a spending spree!

I went to TWEEKS this past summer. It is Free to get in, but lunch is not any longer. I did get a free shirt for entering my car. Overall it was good, however the swap meet sucked. I would guess that there were over 400 cars.
I will go again this year, but my hopes from the swap meet side will be very low.

I took a small load of stuff to the swap meet last summer. It was pretty Hot that day. Tweeks discourages the swap meet and ran off a couple of "competitors" who were selling their overstock items. Not a friendly atmosphere for the swapper I'm afraid. The meet has only returned due to demand by the customers. I sold just about everything for dirt cheap. Most sellers did the same thing, they didn't go all that way to take stuff home.

I'm laughing. The day I posted a reply to this thread, I received an advertisement for this years Tweekfest, and bam, my picture is on it looking at a swank red 365. Same pic is on their website.

I think it is June 8th this year. Moved due to the hot weather last 2 years.

Ever since Tweeks was bought out by "Mid-America direct" it just isn't the same.
We could all start a thread and list our swapmeet fodder here on Pelican and then do the deal incognito when we meet up at Tweeks.

Went to Tweeks swap meet when it was in Indianapolis. Was nice and big. Plenty of good deals.

Went to the first meet at Effingham, IL after Midwest bought them. Was disappointed at the swap and haven't been back since.
