Fuel Tank Replacement

Hi all. Just got a Dansk replacement fuel tank for my '75 Carrera. My question is - can the internal tank fuel filter in my existing (to be replaced) tank be used in the new tank?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Unfortunately, no. The replacement Dansk tanks have no filters. There doesn't seem to be an easy solution to adding one, check out this thread:

Dansk fuel tank, show me your in line fuel filter

If you are referring to the fuel tank screen filter you can add an inline filter, just before pump

thank you Mark and fizeus for your responses. Looks like I'm going to have go with an in-line filter as I don't have the mechanical wherewithal to fabricate some of the intricate apparatus seen in the thread. Besides - i want to get the car back on the road before summer is gone,,,,

A simpler solution may be a stainless screen plastic filter, KN 81-0231 It is clear and you can inspect it

Bringing back an old thread.....

In case anyone else has a need for a Dansk Fuel Tank "Pre-Filter" to the Pump, here is what I offer.....

It has a "Lifetime" washable Screen Filter that can be easily cleaned by pinching off the supply hose and removing the filter.

Machined AN fittings that make it fully compatible with the 12mm Supply Hose, and this is E-85 rated.

For info, please email me. NO PM's.
