What is it?

We have been looking at this bracket for a couple days trying to come up with its identity- it’s been coated so not original color.

“It look like a man.”

Sorry, couldn’t resist. Good luck on finding out what the heck it is. Better yet, where did you find it?

Doing a total rebuild of a 1979 sc targa. It’s off it from somewhere. It must have escaped out of one of the tagged baggies.

I'm going through the same thing with a trip piece I found in the car. Frustrating, ain't it? Sorry I have no answer but I feel your pain, brother. Here's a free bump for ya. Good luck.

I'm betting it is not a Porsche factory part.
I doubt they would place a hole that close to the edge.

If it’s not a real Porsche part a previous owner must have put it on.
I’ll hopfully be posting more pictures of decklid and all other personal touches I put together for this rebuild.
Going to go clean paint booth this week end getting ready to spray. It’s been way too long
So far I think seat belt bracket is best guess.
