burn, baby burn (oil)!
Just acquired a 1970 (body-off restored in '89)911T Targa (red). And of course, she leaks and burns oil. Customary blue puff at start-up is ok, but she also blows blue smoke on decel. Other than the full engine rebuild - yeah, I know it'll be sooner or later (pref later) - is there anything I can do in the interim as a quick-fix (like some magic-bullet-oil-additive)? Any suggestions/experience is welcome (and easy on the pessimism)

Your blue smoke on decal is classic worn valve guides. I would evaluate weather top end or full rebuild is required. Good luck.

Why not do an oil and filter change, drive it a bit and see how much it is consuming. If it’s not much do it later, if it is much keep putting fresh oil in. That’s not a bad thing

Not to worry; I love when some of these really old posts pop back up. It reminds me of some of the posters who have long since moved on.
Oh, and ask me how I know about pulling up old posts!
