Fan and Shroud Differences

Hi All,

The following table lists two different fan and shroud assembly part numbers, but the same shroud casting number (901.106.101.5R). This shroud casting number is listed for 69-74 and 75-77. I need one for a '72 2.4L, so how do I tell if I'm buying the correct one, as the shroud number does not distinguish them?

For a '72, 901.106.011.00 is the one you want

Bill,

thanks, but how do you tell? I only recall seeing a shroud casting number. Are there part numbers as well?

sorry, but I'm missing something. I guess I'm not asking the question correctly. how do I determine the part number of the fan and shroud, as all i see is the casting number, which does not map to a unique part number?

Use the shroud number listed for your year as Bill stated. Ignore the casting number as it is common practice to utilize one casting to produce multiple, slightly different finished parts.
If you have a shroud, what number is cast on it?
