What gaskets with headers on 964 engine?

Installing my George's headers on my 3.6 tonight, almost ready to pull it off the engine stand after 7 years.

So what gaskets do I use? Ideally the OE 964 sealing rings, but the flanges are a lot thinner than the OE heat exchangers so I'm concerned that tightening them down will warp the flanges ever so slightly. Or do I use a traditional exhaust gasket?

Suggestion: traditional gaskets copper faced on both sides with castellated nuts

My application is racing.

I have always used the standard factory style metal gaskets between the heads and racing headers. I have used European headers, S Car Go headers (excellent), and some headers which are very similar to the SCARGO in design (also excellent; acquired from William Knight).

The gaskets can be obtained from all of the usual places, including our hosts at PP. I usually use new gaskets each time no matter what.

Not sure what the torque spec is. I do not use a torque wrench for this.

I always use new copper heat nuts and washers. New nuts EACH time.

I use nuts with 12 mm hex heads-- you can also use the ones with 13 mm hex heads.

Mike- my application is racing too. NASA GTS3 or PCA GT-3S
The heads have all new studs, Wrightwood Racing engine gasket set came with all new hardware and the 964 style metal o-rings. Always new hardware and gaskets- cheap insurance.
