1977 911S Broken hose driver side next to transmission

Hello,
I noticed I was getting a small leak from under the car in the garage and when I put it up I see it is a ripped hose on the driver side next to the front of the transmission (towards front of car) but I cannot figure out what this hose is and the liquid it is leaking as it could just be a hose next to transmission but doesnt have to do with it? It doesnt seem thick like gear oil for the trans but I could be wrong. I took pictures see below and marked off the spot.... could anyone please let me know what hose this is? what oil is this leaking? and part number if you have it? Looks like a long hose that wraps around but I could have missed a connection that makes it shorter.

Thank you all for your help and guidance

Vacuum line that goes forward to the brake booster? Don't know why it would contain fluid...

Thanks Peter! Yeah, it was more watery and oily than anything...could have been water and grease from under the car that just accumulated there. Any idea on part number or how to search for it? Thanks again!

Oscar

Hi Oscar,

I am unfamiliar with your year, but you might want to download the free PET (parts) Katalog pdf and browse it in the meantime. It's a great resource.

Go to this Porsche site and enter your year where it says 'choose catalog':

It’s just 12x19mm vacuum hose, Pelican sells it by the meter, I didn’t measure mine, but pretty sure it is longer than a meter, so order 2 meters and then in the notes section say that you need 2 meters uncut, otherwise they might ship 2 1 meter sections.

I found it rather easy to install once I figured out to start in the middle under the car and feed it up into the engine compartment and then over the transmission- I used a long needle nose pliers to grab it and get to the metal nipple on car body.
