930 brake application

just some morning musings...

I have a complete 930 brake setup ready to go on a SC...

I am building a targa that will be at minimum a high CR 2.4L 911S or up to a 3.0L MFI RS...with SC suspension

I was planning on saving the 930's for when I build a track car...but would they be overkill on the targa? I was originally planning on using SC brakes on the targa...

I will probably use the targa at DE events...not a hard core track car...hmmm

Since no permanant changes are needed to the chassis(assuming that the rear calipers were modified to fit SC trailing arms) why not use the 930 brakes now. The boosted m/c will work fine. If you want to use them on something else later swap them out at that time, its not a big deal.

The gray area where bigger brakes are worth it is right in the SC hp & weight region, under not worth it, over worth it. Sometimes ducts pads, fluid is enough sometimes not depends on the driver, frequency and tracks.

Since you obviously don't want the brakes to go to waste sitting around gathering dust, give them to me. I can use the extra stopping power now. If you want I'll even put a little "donated by" plaque on the calipers.

A famous little saying comes to mind, "From each according to his means, to each according to his needs."
