The AEM infinity drives the 77 tach, just connected the tach wire from the Rasant harness to the original tach wire. In my install, I did this in the engine compartment.

Thanks for that. I just want sure where the tach signal came from. Cheers

So which is more fun to drive? The '16 Cayman or the '77S?
|
Just had my first track day in the Cayman, that was fun....
https://youtu.be/2ANsAskvq3E Been using the 77S for AutoX as I rebuild it, that is a lot fun as well.... https://youtu.be/v5Fx3eQpmOM |
Just got the car back from some professional tuners, it was a worth while exercise. They cleaned up the map signal a bit, set the rpm limit more appropriately, leveled out the AFR, smoothed out the ignition map and got a few more ponies. Not bad with stock cams.

That’s a really outstanding result. That is what a good 2.7 MFI RS cammed motor makes, only you have EFI with far more flexible drivability. Congrats!
Where did you end up sticking your coolant temp sensor, and how are cold starts working for you? Been hearing mixed results on this. |
The cylinder head temperature sensor was installed on one of the fan shroud bolts near #1 and #2. In Florida, it doesn’t get very cold, but the cool starts have been great, just blip the throttle while cranking and it fires up and idles great. I have the idle set fairly high, 1100-1200 and use the ignition adjust to maintain idle. I may try to drop this down a bit when I get a chance.

Knockdown,
I saw you at the last Auto X, great job and good to meet you! Derek |
It was very nice meeting Stacy and you as well, thanks. I know now why I was hitting the rev limiter on the short straights in the back section. ;)
