Please excuse the picture quality-I tried...
1. The washer pump is mounted in the front-mine is 11.86 for my 87 Carrera 2. There is a production Date Stamp on the bottom just like your original Fuchs ![]()

Will do, when I disassemble/rebuild every nut/bolt bead blast/refinish 3 cars at once-occasionally something sinks in my brain.

yeah, I'm going to say that wasn't much of a brain teaser. Most of the parts on every car produced have some sort of lot traceability stamped on them. I applaud your effort though.
