Can you replace the headliner without removing the rear glass?
I have a 993 and been told I need to remove both the front and rear glass to replace the headliner. I need to replace my windshield at some point. Would prefer not to have to remove the rear if it's possible. Anyone have experience with this?

Short answer is no.
The headliner is glued (and small clamps) to the body seam flange that the seal attaches to. Take them both out at the same time for the headliner. There are other trim bits and seals that also must come off for the headliner.

Thanks! I have to refurbish my sunroof seal and retrim my pillars as part of my interior project. So thought to add this too in as part of the slippery slope.
I was told the rear glass can explode/shatter if not done right... Is that true or just bad advice? Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk |
