bought a 1976 911s... it was sight unseen, and its green

long story short...

found this 1976 911s online as expected and bought it. i admit that i was impatient and wanting to get a car in the garage, and i did it. yes i am idiot but it does have papers and it was actually serviced locally years ago.

well that part is over so onto the action.

it wasn't as good as i expected nor as accurate as the seller described but i drove it all weekend and it kept going and going. a short list of things do not work and or operate properly, it runs a tad warm from what i have read, and some minor adjusting here and there is needed.

but it fires right up. tracks dead straight, loves to rev out and the brakes are awesome. the road feedback is amazing and i couldn't not drive it all weekend.

it goes in the shop Wednesday for inspection and a once over and that will be nothing short of exciting im sure.

so stay tuned and lets see what happens.

on to the pictures. sorry they are terrible

coming off the enclosed trailer.

the dog did not mind the ride to work today

outside of work. an employee took this.

New car in the neighborhood.......

Welcome to the 911 madness. That's a good looking car you got. Get a good set of CIS pressure gauge kit and it will save you a bundle.

At least you can drive it. Every Porsche I ever bought since I was 15 (and that's been 32 years worth of 356s, 924s, 911s, 914s and the like) never ran. I never bought a running car to think of it.

Enjoy it - a midyear in that kind of condition is and will always be a special thing.

Welcome! What a great car! Love the black cookies / stance as others have said. What size and brand tires are they?

Congrats-I think that the 76-77 cars are the sweet spot; they are galvanized, and they have the cleaner lines of the earlier cars.
