M&K 911R silencer dimensions
Hi guys,
Im currently bidding on an M&K 911R silencer, but Im concerned with fitment as I have an RS style rear bumper and its super tight under there as is. Does anyone know the diameter of the main silencer? Am I correct in assuming the the pipe is straight on bumper side and then bent in slightly on motor side? Or is it just one long straight pipe? ![]() Thanks in advance. My existing silencer just doesn't do the trick aesthetically. ![]() ![]() |

each exit tube is straight. They correspond to the "bumper guard" location on a 73 RSR

Where are you bidding on an M&K muffler? Are you negotiating to purchase one used?
The inlets are curved to meet the main body. Shell has a 6" radius. Exit pipes are straight out the back 31" on center. The MKM28 911R muffler was designed to fit the RSR style application with outlet spacing 30"-31" typical. We can do custom spacing if desired. ![]() ![]()

Brian I think you mean 6 diameter not radius.

Wrongly described but I know an M&K when I see one ![]() It is missing the mount bracket, but I think I can get away with some stainless large size hose clamps |

Dodge,
Are your tips the ones brian offers (Active Exhaust Tailpipe Silencer MKTPAM32AE)? If so, is the dB level noticeably quieter on the street?

The silencer part number you have listed is for our SC/Carrera Active Exhaust System. Here is a picture of it installed.
The part you are after is either a slide-in tailpipe baffle or welded in tailpipe baffles if your muffler has the removable tailpipes. Let me know if your muffler has fixed or bolt-on pipes and we'll get you fixed up.
