'72 wiring diagram...

Any source for a good '72 wiring diagram I can print off in BIG letters? Search not real helpful. I'll need help anyway as I'm colourblind so I'm behind the eight ball to start with!!

Putting together my '72 targa and of course I seem to have some "extra" wires going to the front turn lenses, etc.

If you have a shop manual, pull out the beautiful, colored wiring diagrams and take them to your local Office Max printing department, have them copied in 11x18 size or larger if possible, and laminate them. People will try to buy them from you when they see them.
If you don't have the manuals, go to your local Porsche shop (not the dealer), borrow or rent his, and bring lunch for the whole shop when you return them.

I enlarged the diagrams from my Haynes. All black and white. I used a zerox set to enlarge. They worked great.

If you do a careful Google search you can find 911 wiring diagrams. I'm not sure if you can find a dedicated '72 diagram. You may have to settle for a '71. Most of these old cars would have some unique options so no schematic will be 100% accurate at any rate.

I am thinking a wiring diagram for the 1973 is the same as a 1972.

Could be. But then there are carbs, mfi, or cis to consider as well.

A '72 911T would not have CIS since it was not introduced until midway in the 1973 production run.

That is, I believe, a '69 diagram FWIW. Most of the wiring will be the same as a '72, I would guess. There is an "intermediate unit" in the tach circuit which was only used in '69-'70. The '71 diagrams were split into two parts.

On the link I posted:
SL33 is the ‘69.
SL 35 is the 70 as indicated by the dual blue yellow wires going to the coil.
In ‘71 that was deleted by elimination of the intermediate unit for the tach, and they did split the drawings into 2 parts.

I have all the factory drawings and copies that are blown up. ‘71, ‘72, ‘73 and 73.5 CIS all have their own schematics.
They are needed for each year as Porsche changed minor things every year....
