930 Idle speed rpm.
Hi, I have a 1984 930 and want to know the correct idle speed rpm with OEM air conditioning "optional equipment". The Porsche Workshop Manual say idle speed rpm for 930 (all) is 1000 +/- 50. I want to know if this specification change with the air conditioning system, because when the idle speed is set in 1000 rpm with AC (OFF) and then you turn ON the AC, the rpm drop to about 800, and I really don't know if 800 is to low for 930 considering the OEM specification (Porsche Workshop Manual) 1000 +/- 50. I 'll appreciate your comments, thanks in advance!
Best, Leandro |

on my 86 I run about 950 with ac off and about 900 with it on, if really any drop at all.
the idle is great. you have a pretty big drop compared to me. just as a note, I have a new FD, fairly new injectors, gone through it so no air leaks. I have the aluminum FD but it has been modified so I no longer have the FV or lambda

I have mine set at about 975 w/o AC on, and it drops to about 900 with the AC running.
I have fuel mixture pretty well adjusted, and use timing to affect the last bit if rpm adjustment. I do have EFI.

Hi T77911S, thanks for your value comment my friend, I'll check closely the drop! Air leaks could be a cause of the idle speed big drop when AC is turning on?
Hey s5uewf also many thanks for your info my friend, I really appreciate it... |
