19's?

I've always wondered where people drive those cars with sidewalls that low... One pothole and you're done.

Can't say I'm a fan of the styles you posted.

Mike's looks good, though.

Compensating for inadequacies.

20's are dumb. 22's are stupid.

Hey guys...perhaps we're being unfair here. You think we might have liked the first wheel sets pictured if they'd been polished a bit better?

That's the case with Cast or "Alloy" wheels as they like to call them

Forged wheels are WAY better at holding up to the rigors of daily driving.

For ****s and giggles I went onto the Porsche USA site.

so, for stockers you get 17X7s in front and 17X9s in the back.

Then, you go on to the GT2 and you get 18X8.5s in front and 18X12s in back.

So, why WOULD Porsche do that?

Well, it seems that they want to vent the brakes which are, IMO, massive awesome pieces of sculpture.

So...I guess I don't see anything wrong with going one more inch up.

But I definitely agree, why go with a 20? I have no clue.

Speaking of Riding the Short bus, Here's a non-Porsche pic that shows off these wheels on a different car in a different color (by contrast)

In my totally useless opinion, Rice. Everything except mike's, they're beautiful, but I may be biased :-)

They go perfectly with the clear corners and mirror tint. If you could wire up the turn signal to flash in time with the subwoofer, that would be a fine, fine automobile.

The roads I drive on would re-forge those "racing inspired" wheels into a less appealing shape within 10 miles. It's fun to watch some bling-blingin' kid with $3000 rims and 35 series tires lift and ruin his line every time he sees a frost heave.

Actually, those rims aren't even 2K

It's funny how you guys all provide some constructive criticism yet some of you have "Faux" - Jon - and Chrome-looking wheels yourselves.

Now that I think about it...my wife would probably be willing to spend some loot for an extra inch or two...but I don't think she was talking car wheel diameter...and certainly not my waistline!sorry guy, but to my eye those shined up montrosities, wrapped with rubber bands, are simply fugly! Maybe they'd sell better on a Honda board?

Paul that's funny

The Honda boys (pun intended) can't afford it.

Coincidentally, my wife likes my size

So, do you sell these wheels? Or are you just a troll?

Jon, you're certainly not the friendly sort are you?

Since you're so inquisitive:
1) I have been on the BMW side of the forum for a bit
2) I've been talking to Wayne about some of the things that are cool products for you guys, and since I already sell these custom order wheels to the BMW guys, when I ran across the pics for the 911, I thought I'd solicit your feedback.
3) I've been participating in the BMW side (having owned a couple of them for a bit now), I figured I'd look in the P-car side of the equation.
4) You care because? It's obvious these wheels are not to your liking. Get over it. Maybe someone else likes them, maybe they don't.

Ultimately, I want a Porsche, I like the Turbo, I read on and off again what y'all talk about.

Seeing as how you've actually been here less time than me, by a whopping month, I don't get the hostility?

Anyways, let's just part on this topic, you don't like the wheels, noted.

Don't worry about it man, I like the cars/wheels you posted, they look good and are functional. I'm not sure why a few people in this post are being an ass, it seems like they are jealous so don't worry about it. I find it immature and unfortunate that some of you can't appreciate a nice machine with lightweight, funcitonal wheels . Anyway, umnitza keep posting away, these cars look awesome.

later,

amir
