Keith, I have a wedding the night before that. Chances are I'll be unavailable. But the event sounds like a good opportunity to sell a bunch of Johnny Lightning 930's and fish for sponsors (Chris?).

With the snow, I could use some good, hot chili, but it doesn't look good for me either.

Concours school?

What do they teach you at one those?

Probably one of the topics is which size Q-tip you should use to clean the dash vents.

I'll be skipping this one.

Kevin, Check the Great Lakes Regional BBS. I'm thinking of putting my PCA membership card to good use with my first Drivers Ed. Black Hawk is close and the fee is cheap. What a way to start off the year right. Learn to drive the car I've been dumping all my spare cash into. The DE won't make me an instant F1 pilot, but it'll help me enjoy my car more this summer. Itll be great to get all the local Pelicans out there.

I am not interested in the concours, I just want an excuse to take the car out. Of course if the snow does not stop soon...

weather permitting, wouldn't this make a nice drive?
and if the "event" isn't to our liking, maybe we can do
an impromptu kind of drive somewhere else
(just a thought...)

Ester, I like that idea. We can venture down RT 83 through the forest preserves. I have a commitment for at home by 3:00. We are having family over for diner for my sons Birthday. So as long as an impromptu drive does not take me to far away I would enjoy that. It would be a good drive to break in the car.

Chris,

Well after waking up to more snow I wonder what Sunday will be like. I hope the roads clear up.

I picked up the oil restrictors the other day and I want to install them tonightl. I figure I need to get it in top shape in an attempt to be a chase car for your engine break in drive.

Give this a shot! I went last year and while they had some stations set up on how to prep and clean, you really don't have to get too involved in that. There are some pretty knowledgable guys there on what products to use even if it is just for general cleaning and waxing.

The showroom was open, a ton of people to ask questions about DE's, PCA, etc. The food is good and everyone is pretty pumped up for the upcoming season.

If my '74 is back from Perfect Power and the streets are clear, I'll probably make the trip

Don't get me wrong Jeff.

I'm just baffled by the overkill of cleanliness when it comes to concours. I consider myself way too anal about keeping my car clean and tidy. But I can't even hold a candle to some of the concours folks.

I've been to a couple of the sessions before. The Napleton sessions are great. Good food, check out the cars in the showroom and on the lot, wander around the service area for a while, drink a couple Warsteiners and head home.

I think the annual November Napelton session and an occasional autocross spectatorship are the only things i've attended as far as PCA is concerned. Oh, I checked out the shindig they had a couple years back at Chicago (Cicero) Speedway.
