those seats don't look very comfortable...

911 Rod 10-03-2018 09:43 AM

Love the black!
But ya, I'd be throwing in a few throw pillows on those seats. lol

Geronimo '74 10-03-2018 10:00 AM

Love it! except the seats.

mdj930 10-03-2018 10:15 AM

I think the bigger concern is having the back of your head/neck bounce off the harness bar.

megerian 10-03-2018 11:00 AM

gorgeous exterior, would love to see more pics

Damn, that's a slick build. Can you post pictures from a few more angles?

theenico 10-03-2018 12:09 PM

That's cool.

75 911s 10-03-2018 12:18 PM

Wicked. Love the matte black and the wheels / tires. Tell us more about the engine build.

jimtweet 10-03-2018 12:20 PM

Nice

Jim2 10-03-2018 08:37 PM

And here I thought flat black was played out. Mixed with some chrome and aluminum.... well done sir.

tdw28210 10-04-2018 03:41 AM

Well done.

cfassett 10-04-2018 03:49 AM

Well done! I love it! Even more so that you did it all yourself.

And you did it all yourself in 4 years. Amazing.

Tell us about the paint.....

RSBob 10-07-2018 12:09 AM

Bad @$$ For sure. Gorgeous work.

Lyle O 10-07-2018 03:31 AM

Congrats; absolutely awesome. It must go like a banshee. What did you start with? Any "before" pics?

Geronimo 10-07-2018 04:06 AM

Did it start life as a wide body? If not what route did you take for the wide body?

slow&rusty 10-07-2018 05:30 AM

Really nice build and kudos, a different color (other than flat black) would take your car to a whole different level.

Peabo 10-07-2018 08:40 AM

Beautiful build. Obviously it reflects your vision. I applaud you sticking to what you like. I have two questions (actually a hundred but...).

Are the seats comfortable?
What does it weigh?

Now go and drive it like you choose to and enjoy!! Find a Porsche rally and have fun.
Thank you

Excuse my ignorance, but what's a RSR bd?

irl 10-07-2018 11:08 AM

Sorry, its a 75 backdated, RSR clone

Stophos 10-07-2018 11:25 AM

Ed,
Awesome build. Very nice and clearly done your way as it should be. Congrats! Hope to see it somewhere.

Car was not originally intended to be flat black nor will it be forever. Its a 2K epoxy primer. Just having some fun with it this way for a bit. I know there is a window on this stuff before heavy sanding is required.
