1986 911 Accumulator Fuel Line Replacement
Ok,
Confession, I'm a rookie. My car's been wreaking of fuel for a few weeks so I finally jacked her up and inspected the fuel pump and lines. Come to find the accumulator line (the one with the banjo) has at least 1 pin hole leaks. 1) Do I need to empty the tank to replace this line since it's a return line right (only leaks when it's running) 2) This doesn't seem to be the right part (has a 180" loop back connector) 930-356-081-06-OEM per pelican. what is the right part? 3) How does the connector work heading back to the fuel filter (note in my pic) ![]() |

There are several threads on replacing the lines. Do s search for fuel line replacement. I did it on my 85 911 recently.
It is a pain in the butt. That line is crimped, and the entire line from the pump to the hard line connector next to the nose of the transmission has to be replaced. And while you are doing one, do the other line. I used the aftermarket set made by Boxstergt (Len) you will find his contacts in the how to threads.

I second contacting Len, and personally I would replace EVERY fuel line if it were me. Just too much gambling on 30 year old lines and even worse when someone puts in a replacement of questionable origin.
