Factory targa bar cover color?

Is the '84 911 factory targa cover color a "flat black" or "satin black"? Need to respray mine and want it to look factory again.

My 87 Targa has a pebbly black finish. I assume this was factory, correct?

My 86 has the same pebbly black finish. I doubt you could replicate it, pretty unique.
It is only original once.

I had to take mine to the paint shop.

They had the Porsche color.

Sorry to hijack, but always in a quandary as to how to best protect this surface and keep it looking like new.

Does anyone have a 3.2 Targa that can confirm the color, gloss and texture of the Targa bar cover as it came from the factory? My car was resprayed at one time and can not confirm my bar is as it came from the factory. Pictures always appreciated😀

I have a 3.0, but a picture of the original bar finish (which I took before I repainted my car) is below. My body shop was able to very closely reproduce it. There is a description of the process here: paint targa or powder

This is extremely helpful! Thanks for the link to the factory spec and procedure. Here is mine. A bit glossier than yours. Texture similar.

Yes. I ran across the three types of primer and paint numbers long ago required to respray. Have yet to find again.
