Hey there, i saw your message to another user about not being able to pass smog. I have an 86 Carrera and every two years I BARELY pass smog with one of the numbers. I don't have them handy with me, but if I sent over the data could you provide some things to check out? I will say that since I've owned the car, even after having the top end rebuilt, that the car also smells of fuel/exhaust for the first couple minutes after startup.

Hi Gerry... that is not me who it looks like asked you a q from Chicago...
Can you further explain in my post how to do all of this?
Car already has factory front oil cooler and factory fAn..
*** my rub/issue is this current set up has a temp sensor threaded into the oil cooler rated to come on = turn on fAn when it sees oil at 250f.... that is too hi in my and many peoples opinion for what to let oil temp ever get to...
Thus, my quest for similar sensor rated for 180-200f turn on that I can use in place of existing sensor.
Please lmk what you think... thx

I found your name on an old thread about relays and fuses. I'd like to ask you a question. My A/C fan won't even turn on, so I'd like to check the fuse (or is that one a relay, as it is the circular one on the top right). BTW, I've got a '79 SC. How do I see if it's okay, or burned out? And where do I buy a new relay?

    Thank you,

    Tim in Chicago
