964 fuel pump in a 1979 3.0?
Silly question, I know.
I have a new 964 fuel pump. Can I use it on my 1979 3.0L. I am guessing not. |

Don't know why you couldn't. I use the original 3.0 SC pump with the
964 3.6 transplanted into my '80SC. So the reverse should work as well, provided it will bolt on correctly.

No, you can not.
It will go lean at full throttle. 964 are EFI and max. pressure are 5 bar your 3,0 are CIS and need 6,5 bar.
