Hard start 3.2 when warm...
My 3.2 is difficult to start when warm. Any tips?
:) |
Ya gotta give us more than that. Does it crank and no start, does it start and die, does it have trouble cranking?

Thanks. Yes it’s a bit light isn’t it.
Turns over like a champ hot or cold. Cold start - few seconds of cranking and it comes to life nicely. Hot start - it can take up ten seconds (sometime more)of cranking before it fires. I strongly suspect it’s fuel related. Am I right in saying that the Carrera’s don’t have an accumulator? |
Almost sounds like your system isn't retaining pressure when it's hot. I'd get a gauge and check pressure... could be a check valve on the fuel pump or a lazy injector that holding open after shut down (could be choking up on gas if one's leaking)

Okay - thanks for the heads up. I’ll start with the pump check valve.

what was the last time you replace spark plugs and fuel filter?
Start with the basics. Anything temperature related on 3,2 is your temperature head sensor on cyl number 3.. Ivan |
