Camber 75 911
Rebuild the complete suspension front and rear. Lowered the car to the euro specs, now at 25 l/2 in front fender to ground and 25 rear. At this height I'm totally out of camber adjustment in the front. The various strut plates seem to provide very little adjustment and are very expensive, Any suggestions.

The solution is to bring it back up to true euro spec which is in mm, not in inches. The magic euro number for the front is 108mm etc. and your camber will be spot on.

put Thanks for the info Joe,
At the 25 1/2 fender measure which converted to the proper measuring method is 141mm. To reach the euro would raise the car a good 2 inches at least. Years ago it was at the factory setting, our cats used to sit on the tire and look at us without bumping their head. We had the car lowered many years ago and the rake was awful and the front had the camber maxed out. So after rebuilding the suspension we're trying to lower the car to a reasonable level which seems to be in the suggested 25 1/2 or so area. At this level the camber seems to be around pos 1 degree. Suggestions I've seen are around .5 neg. AT my present level I will have to start going up to achieve the .5 unless someone has any ideas. Thanks for the input Last edited by jimgreenery; 01-03-2020 at 08:37 AM.. Reason: used neg instead of pos in relation to degree |

Static camber should become more negative as you lower the car though.

How are you measuring your camber?

Tires to short???
What size tires are you running?? What is the overall diameter?? With a short tire, you would have to raise the car to get that 25.5 inches, which would likely give you postive camber.
Im running a short tire but will lower the car below Euro Fender height to get the suspension geometry right, then corner weight and align, if I am not dragging on the ground. I know Bill has posted a lot of charts with wheel and tire dimensions. Throw a tape on your tire and see how it compares to a "stock" size tire, (IIRC, that is about 25 or 25.5 inches), not to be confused with "fender" height. goodluck, chris |

I'm running 195/65x15. Today raise the car to 25 7/8 ended up with 1 degree neg. with no more adjustment. I think I'll leave it here and see what happens, we had raise it up more but did not like the look. At this point the rear has about a 1/2 inch rake. I do not want to remove the rear torsion bars and reset. I can live with the look and if the drive with the 1 degree is ok I'm good to go. Thanks for the responses.
