Installing a WaveTrac, are the stock ring bolts long enough?
Im installing a WaveTrac into my 915 box. The flange is much thicker on the WaveTrac than it is on the stock diff and Im concerned there isn't enough meat on the threads of the ring bolts to use them.
Do longer bolts exist? Whats is the suggested way to install this differential? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1541470189.jpg |
PM me your number, lost it like three phones ago... you still close by me? invite me over for a beer, a tour of the shop and ill introduce you to the domino....

The short answer is that you should have the same amount of threaded engagement as before. The longer answer depends on the grade of your bolt. Hopefully is a 10.9 where you should have about 1.1 diameters of threaded engagement.
Hope that helps David |
The original LSDs had a thicker flange as well and longer bolts. You need the LSD version.
