997 Camshaft Actuator Solenoid Screen

I am trouble shooting my 997 and replaced the camshaft solenoid and screen. The solenoid has a specific orientation designated by a pin and notch. The screen had a notch but didn’t seem to have an orientation and I simply pressed it in using a extendable magnet. I called my local Indy who is really good and he confirmed that the screen does not have an orientation it just presses in. I just want to be 100% sure. Can someone confirm?

Try the 996/997/991 forum. Just old car guys here, well mostly. I build my own 2.8 engines, but the 997 Turbo goes to a factory trained mechanic for service.

The strainer is unidirectional. Pop it in and you're done.
