SC Dash Pad in a 1975????

I am ready to put a new dashpad into my Rat Rod. I want a center dash vent, and think the SC vent looks a little more period, and it looks like the defrost vents match up to my 75’s far better than the later dash like is in my 3.2 Carrera does. My question before I click bury ($1800, ouch) is........Does anyone know if it drops in, except for cutting the hole Int the metal part of the dash for the vent?

I know the Carrera one does not, as the defrost vents don’t match. Yes I have seen the threads where people “made” it fit. I don’t wat to sacrifice the defrost vents like that one does.

I was considering a 75 dash pad in my SC because I believe it looks better and cleaner without the center vent. Decided against because I thought the fitting pins/clips locations may be different. Thats what it looked like to me studying pictures at Lakewell.com

Makes sense. Those pictures make it look to me like the SC will fit the 75 well though....I know the clips changes for the Carrera vents, which is why the SC guys who want to move to a Carrera center vent and say struggle.

So does anyone know if, other than cutting the vent hole, the SC dash goes in the same way the 75 dash does?

Awesome news. Thanks for the insight. Ironically I just arrive in Jack London to spend Christmas here with family, and try to catch up with some old friends in the East Bay.
