Most are Junk but what did I expect for the price of $50 or even less? Lasted only a few months. The cover starts out as decent for the money but if exposed to the sun, the outer layer cracks or "eggshells" like a mosaic tile art. Then water gets though and then it tears easily all very quickly. I have a few nice higher priced covers in use and they last a few years or more. You get what you pay for. The Covercraft brand seems to have the best price and quality balance IMO. BTW, I usually dont rant but DO NOT BUY a waterproof cover from advance_parts on ebay. Bought three and they fell apart as described above so I sent them photos to collect on their warranty. No response and too late to leave feedback. Found some reviews on Google and no response is their M-O. |

I think the powder is just dust, mine does that after awhile, so I wash it in either a commercial size machine or with the hose outside.

I had a Weathershield HD from Covercraft for two of my cars. Perfect fit and quality. Expensive, but i went through two cheapo covers purchased from Costco / Pepboys... was only getting 2 years max out of those before they tore. I washed the two covers a few times at the local laundromat... never had any issues with it after 4+ years. Ended up including it with the car when i sold it.

Second on the Weathershield HD from Covercraft. Perfect fit and great protection outdoors. Cost is going to be around $350. Autoanything seems to have the best prices.

Third on the Covercraft. Have the same Westhershield HD model for my S2000 since it lives outside in the south Texas sun. I pull it every few months to wash and I retreat with 303 fabric guard maybe twice a year to keep up the waterproof. Has held up very well and fits nicely. I would recommend them as well.

Cover craft, right here off PelicanParts. Through the years I have discovered that if I use a “cheapo”
Car cover, WalMart/Amazon 30-40 dollars, over the $$$ Covercraft, the Covercraft lasts twice as long. I have been doing this for 15 years or so. Car is in a garage, I have a cat. No Issues at all ! |
