My mini winter project
Car under cover so what to do? Had often wondered if painted center caps would compliment the color of my 911 (see my garage). So as a small winter project, I decided to purchase center caps and paint them myself - I could in no way justify paying $400 for pre-painted caps.
Haven’t put them on the wheels as yet, and they by no means look professionally done, but I’m hoping they’ll look decent from afar. ![]() Next photo in 2 months when mounted. Jason

They look great! I've been considering this myself (same reasoning as you). Did you clear coat them (at least the center part)?

I didn’t use a paint brush, rather some plastic sticks with a slight cotton-type tip - found them on Amazon. Jason
