front fender and cowl seals

Hi,

I have a 964 and am looking to replace the rubber seals that go between the top of the fender and the cowl with a wider then stock version. Does anyone know if they make this product and where I can buy it?

Thanks,
David

Just more forgiving. They are not thicker on the mating surfaces just the visible part. Inconsistencies of fit are better masked.

Does Pelican have the wider ones? Pretty sure I bought mine from here in the way back.

Thanks guys.
Someone painted the cowl and fender without removing it. I want to remove the old ones, wet sand, polish and then replace with wider version to hide any sins.
I saw 2 versions 4.3mm and 6.5mm (1/4”). What was the width when new? Anything wider then 6.5mm?

small piece of welting to be replaced

It is possible to buy a small piece of welting? Or is there a welting part specific to the area shown in the picture where its missing?

While yoou are in there....

While you are in there, check for frunk gutter rust around/under the weatherstrip for the hood. You could feel along the underside of the frunk gutter for any roughness, possibly indication rust through.
I had some serious perforation, which allowed rain to soak the passenger floor carpet.

On a similar note, i found rust through between the L fender and the body of the frunk. Water from above and below.

Good Luck,
chris

You really don't want to see the pictures :-(

This is a known problem in the Porsche parts catalog. The front piece has been incorrectly superceeded to the incorrect part number..

The upper and lower are different, but left and right are the same ( just flip them over).
Lower is shorter and has shallower curve. Should be there somewhere.

Mark are you saying that the part in the catalog IS the lower, which is what im looking for, but the part number is incorrect? It does say upper on all those parts. Thanks

911 503 326 is the upper. 911 503 325 is the lower. The link in dg567's post #11 is what you need.

Sorry, I misunderstood...I thought you could find only one side on the Pelican site... I was just saying, but two of the same b/c they're the same.
Btw, as stated above the link in post #11 is definitely the right one.
