The CSV flange does have an opening where the AAR/AAV hose connects. Even for air boxes w/o the internal CSV mainfold runners.

tsauter,
What is the AAR and the AAV. I am trying to learn about this stuff. Guy Chiattello 82SC Black Coupe |
AAV - Auxiliary Air Valve (for startup air - hot or cold). AAR - Auxiliary Air Regulator (for cold start air). Probably want to read the CIS threads in this Forum or get your hands on the Bosch K- Jetronic Technical Instruction Manual.

If you are having idle fluctuations with the O2 sensor connected then your mixture is still not correctly set. Especially if you disconnect it and the idle is solid.

I have a question about the CSV plastic mounting flange hose connection:
Is it blocked or not?? Mine (911 SC 1980) is factory blocked, I found out yesterday when reassembling my system. The part was made like that. In my opinion this cannot be since the air from the 3 valves doesn't reach the manifold. Maybe the part isn't original... Please help me clarify this! Thanks! By the way, I also have the AAV issue, with an useless nipple connection. I'll check for operation as the primer says it should work, apparently it has everything to work fine, the membrane closes the passage when physically pressed. |
Wrong part installed.........

Abaurre, You have the wrong CSV mounting installed on your engine. The SC's have the hole unblocked compared to the very early CIS (blocked). Your AAR, AAV, and decel valve are all isolated now and would affect your CIS operation specially when cold. Are you aware that you have revived an 11-year old post? The saucer-looking device with nipple is not the AAV. That's your decel valve with vacuum hose. Keep us posted. Tony |
