930S rear vent oil cooler setup?

G`day gents, I have a question. Is there any way to use 2 oil coolers, say one - Carrera 3.2 style (front fender instead of the trombone, which I don`t have) and one in a right rear fender (I have some remnants of a slantnose conversion), where the brake duct vent is with keeping stock oil lines?
Basically it`s a plumbing question rather than anything else...

Yes but it's probably not necessary. The single Carrera cooler should be sufficient. There are a couple threads running on this over in the Turbo section.
If you have the thermostat plumbing for the rear cooler you would change the outlet line of the rear cooler to a long one to go up front if you want the rear cooler to work first. If the front cooler is to be first in line the thermostat out line stays the same and the return line goes to the rear cooler inlet.

Thanks Brian! That is what I needed

I was looking at this idea for my 930 project. slantnose so no room for front fender coolers.

considered trying to install dual rear fender coolers. did not think just one would be enough cooling. finally came to the conclusion from feedback that would not be a good solution.

somewhere I saw a link to an ebay post for a set of vented rear fenders and the factory rear fender cooler for $15k.

I will be installing a big valance mounted cooler. was considering the fender coolers as I do not have the lines running to the front of the car .... long story about what the PO did.

rather than trying to put one in the rear fender, have you considered the dual front fender cooler kits available?

good luck on what ever you do.

Well, honestly 15 grand is a bit TOO much, and I`m on a budget )
I was planning to use right rear fender vent for the engine oil cooler and left one for the transmission cooler. Another thing is - two front coolers will weight a tiny bit more than one rear and one front cooler. And those vents are already there it`s a shame not to use them I reckon..
Will have to use alternative coolers and kits to make them work cos those 15 grand...

I can help with the plumbing for this as I custom make Porsche Fuel & Oil Hoses & Lines on a regular basis.

It's most practical to use the factory brass hardlines along the rocker from a local source. I can make up the custom Hoses to connect with one of the rear cooler lines.

Here is my custom 914-6 GT Front Oil Cooler kit I made up recently for a customer....

and my High Clearance M30 Hoses for another....

For info please email me.....

Here is what the Oil Regulator (Thermostat) would look like......

It is attached directly to the Oil Tank, with the Upper Lines extending across the fender well and up to the stock Factory Carrera Oil Cooler.

left one for the transmission cooler
now that I have decided to go with a large front oil cooler, thinking of this.

but that weight is in the better place.

got the RSR front oil cooler deflector pan. after some research thinking I'll just bond/screw it in place rather than weld. and will not completely cut out the front of the frunk area, but cut a couple large openings behind the bumper and then in the floor pan.
basically expand the openings that are there for the front AC condenser.
