Living in Michigan, I’ve stored my car in my garage and mechanics garage with the normal cover and never had an issue. A,ways changed the oil before storing and battery on a tender.
This year I’m trying something new called the Car Jacket which seals the car with desiccant and I’ve added some moth balls to keep the rodents out. This is a sealed system and I’m hopeful the car wakes up in April with no moisture and very dry. https://www.carbag.com/carjacket/ |
If you're storing your car in.damp weather, I heartily recommend a good sized dehumidifier for the garage. I bought one when I lived in the Pacific NW, and it made a huge difference. Also, no rusty tools! And when I painted the inside of the house during the damp winter, I used the dehumidifier in each room after painting and the paint dried completely and quickly.
