Dash Heater Control Chrome Bezel

The plastic edge on the dash control heater on my -74 is cracked and somewhat gone. Would be fine to use an "aluminium" bezel like I see used on the pre 74, but not sure if it will fit.
Any idea ?
Other suggestions for a cosmetic fix on the heater edge?

Thanks

It won't.The pre-74 is a much smaller unit on the face. The hold in the dash is the same size ironically. I just converted a pre-73 to fit into my 75.

The only way to fix yours is get a unit off eBay. I found a few nice ones to build whats in my car now.
