73 license plate light question
I searched by haven't found the answer.
The wire that's supposed to power my license plate lights was missing. Based on the wiring diagram, it looks like its supposed to be grey in color. Where does it exit the wiring loom in the engine compartment? I would have thought it would exit near the earth ground connection on the drivers side in front of the CD ignition... but the only grey wire I found there looks committed to a different application. Any guidance, and better yet, picture would be appreciated. The wiring diagram says it should come off of fuse 6, but there is not a grey wire on 6. Kevin

You are correct it exits the harness driver’s side forward of CD panel. Grey wire, check fuse #7

May not appear as a grey wire as it is may be sheathed in a black vinyl tube with a black vinyl cover on the female connector.
It should come out of the main harness at the same location as the grey/white wire for the fuel pump cold start solenoid and a ground to the body ground stud.
