Recoving steering wheel
I'm about to begin to recover my original '73 911 steering wheel with a new leather cover. Located Alan Gun's business in Florida and they sell the cover in a sew it yourself kit or an easier pre-sewn kit. Anyone have any experience or thoughts on these options? Also, when I removed the original leather cover it had been partial glued-think I should do the same with the replacement one? Thanks!

I put one of the Alan Gunn kits on my stock steering wheel. I did not glue, but perhaps that is a good idea. I have seen threads where others have. One thing I can recommend though. After you get the cover on and smoothed out you will need to trim a little here and there to get a nice tight fit. I was happy with the quality of the leather and it looked much better when it was finished. Take your time and it will look great.
