When did the 911 entered the US?

Hi all,

Have a KPZ steel wheel dated 1/65. When did Porsche 911's came to the US? I thought was in February 1965. Just curiosity...

Jose,

How do you know it is a 911 wheel? The 356C used the same wheel size during that time frame.
911 (901) began manufacture in September 1964. A few of these ’64 did make their way to US dealerships in January 1965. From the time of final assembly and testing to the U.S., was at least 4 weeks. So, any 911 in dealerships in February of 65 most likely would have a wheel stamp of 1/65.
