Red transmission fluid?
Hello to all,
After sitting for 10 years my 901 transmission with 95K was checked and needed some oil. After adding a few ounces the overflow showed some traces of red fluid. Anyone knows of any red liquid brand? I was planning to drive for 10-20 miles and drain all. Opinions??? Thanks in advance, Jose |

Red Transmission fluid
Wow,
did not Know! I see that is 80W-140. One last question...Should I use 80W-90 type and how long gear oil should last normally? Thank you all! |

If the transmission oil is 10 years old, CHANGE it.
The oil is cheap, and the change is easy to do. Transmissions are expensive. And yea, use the proper weight oil.
