Idle vs main enrichment for MFI

Hi,

Does anyone know if the idle enrichment of an 2.4 MFI pump influences the main circuit. The book says that after the main mixture is set you just have to dial in the idle mixture. There is no need to go back to the main enrichment. I asked this because the idle setting screw of my pump is al the way back (counterclockwise) but the CO is ok (2.5 %). I was wondering when I set the idle mixture more rich I am able to compensate it with the main mixture?

The answer is no. But, but, but 2.5% CO on an MFI is way to lean!!!! Idle should be between 5-6% and the main at 7-8% CO.
